As a member of the Orangeville Tennis Club (OTA), I agree to abide by the following rules and guidelines.


Waivers: All club members, or anyone who participates in any of the programs, must sign a waiver.  Visit the Registration page to download a waiver.

Court Access: Members will be notified of the gate lock combination.  Members must not divulge the combination code to anyone.


Public Use: The courts are open to members and authorized users.  Any other use must be authorized by the President.  The junior after school programs in May and June, as well as the tennis summer camps offered by the club pro, are open to the public and a parent must sign a waiver for each child to participate.

Shoe Tag: Your shoe tag is your proof of membership.  It is mandatory to wear it during play.

Guest Policy: Occasional guests are permitted when accompanied by a member. There is no cost.  Members must ensure that their guest(s) comply with the OTC Club Rules & Guidelines and accompany them at all times while at the Club.

Court Hours: The courts are open from sunrise until 11 p.m. The court lights are on a timer and will be turned off at that time.  If you are not sure how to turn on the lights, please ask another member to show you. Please turn off the lights if you are the last one to leave.

Dress Code: Appropriate shoes are required: athletic shoes with non-marking soles.  Denim, cut-off shorts, muscle shirts and offensive wording or logos are NOT allowed.

Alcohol and Other Drugs: Alcohol and other drugs are not permitted on the Courts.


Language: Loud, abusive, or profane language and abuse of a racquet or a ball, are not permitted.

Fair Play: Members and guests must abide by the Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) rules of tennis etiquette and fair play as posted in the Clubhouse and as found at the following link:  https://www.tennisontario.com/players/resources/tennis-etiquette.

Rules of the Court: The OTA Rules of the Court shall apply to all match play. The Rules of the Court can be found at the following link:  https://www.tennisontario.com/players/resources/rules-of-the-court.

Non-Discrimination Policy: Members and guests must abide by the laws against discrimination on the basis of culture, race, socio-economic status, gender, age or ability as defined by the Ontario Human Rights Code.
